  We had a fabulous 5-night stay at the Palm Bungalow. Everything was as described. The property is even better than the pictures - very luxurious. Nice central location. Far enough away from downtown to avoid the noise and crowds but close enough to everything. The lanai was great for having breakfast and relaxing at night.

  We spent 12 nights at the Palm Bungalow. This is a gated community and very safe. Parking on the street but right in front of the house. Lauralinn and Steve were excellent hosts gave great advise on things to do and where to eat. Bamboo is their sweet dog who made our stay extra special. Just a heads-up: the pool is not heated but easy to get used to. There is no air conditioning, but none is needed because of the lovely breezes and the ceiling fans. This bungalow is a great value. We truly enjoyed our stay.

  Upon arrival I was immediately very happy that I didn't book a standard hotel room. This bungalow is in the backyard of a home in a beautiful gated community. The setting was just gorgeous and the bungalow was very comfortable. The owners are very helpful with providing advice on places to eat and things to see, but at the same time they were not intrusive at all. The place has a secluded feel, but it is a short drive to town. I thoroughly enjoyed sleeping with the night time breeze and waking up to the birds in the morning. If I come back to Kona I will definitely stay here again.

  The owners were extremely helpful and friendly throughout our stay. We arrived about 9:30 p.m. and were greeted by the owner who walked us to the bungalow and gave us a complete tour of it's features and amenities. Every morning we were greeted by the songs of the birds chirping their Hawaiian melodies. Some of our favorite memories of the trip involved sitting on the lanai, eating fish we cooked on the BBQ, and watching the sun set!

  LauraLynn was the perfect hostess, warm and inviting. We truly enjoyed the Palm Bungalow. It was beautifully decorated, comfortable, modern and luxurious. The king size bed was perfect and the outdoor shower was a delight. The indoor shower was spacious. We enjoyed everything in the lovely fruit basket provided for our stay. Bamboo was the perfect greeter after our daily jaunts. I especially liked the beach toys available for use: chairs, mats, snorkel gear, boogie board, cooler, towels, sunscreen, etc. One of the reasons we chose this rental was because there was no TV. Internet was provided and it worked well. Attention has been paid to every detail by these owners. This bungalow is located in a gated residential community close to Kona. It was quiet and beautiful. I highly recommend this rental.

  My boyfriend & I stayed for a week for his brothers wedding in Kona. The location was amazing! We loved everything about the Bungalow. Not having a TV is the best! Waking up in the morning to all the wild life outside and the breeze coming through the light drapes was the best way to start every single morning. It was so relaxing. They provided us with so much! Coffee, Tea, Fruit, Sunscreen, Towels, Beach Toys, snorkel gear, towels..if you needed it, they had it for us. We loved our stay and hope to come back soon!

  We loved The Palm Bungalow. First, its location is perfect. Its on the property of a home in a gated residential community. Its a six minute walk to the water and a five minute drive into town. The bungalow itself is very luxurious with an extremely comfortable king sized bed, a fabulous bathroom, and is equipped with anything a visitor would need. There is a bbq and access to a swimming pool and hot tub.
  The owners are very warm and helpful, sharing fruit from their trees and information about their island. We had a great two weeks there and would certainly book it again.

  We spent the first week of our honeymoon at The Palm Bungalow and we can't imagine a better place. We fell in love with the photos before we even arrived and we were not disappointed. We only ventured out a few times to go to local beaches and out to eat, because we most enjoyed lounging around at The Bungalow, sunning by the pool, and reading in the hammock. The kitchenette was well stocked and we fixed 2 meals a day at The Bungalow. We loved waking up in the morning to the sounds of the tropical birds and the breeze blowing through. We loved the close connection to the outdoors that we experienced staying here. And the mattress is very, very comfortable - kudos! I think Steve told my husband that it was fairly new. Our 2nd week was at Hilton Waikoloa - a very lovely, but different style of vacation with a big resort feel. The Bungalow can't be beat for intimate setting, connection to nature and comfort. We already long to return again! Thank you!

  I was in Kona for the Ironman Triathalon World Championship. The bungalow was conveniently located to town and I was able to walk every day. I was tired when I got done with my days but looked forward to returning to the bungalow because it was so beautiful and peaceful there. The pool was refreshing and the hot tub welcoming to my sore muscles. I was able to do everything I needed to, including cook all my own meals. I highly recommend this hidden treasure!

  My wife and I wanted to find a quiet place for a belated honeymoon, and the Palm Bungalow exceeded all of our expectations. It was clean, well maintained, and absolutely beautiful. The owners, Steve and Lauralynn, live on the property and were attentive, gracious, and fun hosts who made us feel right at home. The neighbourhood is a quiet spot to the south of downtown Kailua. It's close enough to walk into town if you're up for a stroll, but a rental car is highly recommended for getting around in general. The area seemed very safe, and we never considered theft to be even the slightest concern. Overall this was one of the best, most relaxing vacations we have ever taken. If we return to the Big Island, we would come back to the Palm Bungalow most definitely.

  Our eight days spent at Palm Bungalow were idyllic. Met at the gate by the property owners regardless of being delayed in arriving, we felt welcomed from the outset.
  The bungalow is an intimate setting for two people, beautifully located on a perfectly designed and maintained property. The pool and outdoor shower were welcome cool-downs after days of exploring the Island, and the lanai was very comfortable for peaceful relaxation, and for viewing the wide variety of birds, amazing vegetation and beautiful sunsets.
  The presence of the property owners was never intrusive, but also a valuable resource for input on local recommendations of sights, activities and restaurants. We appreciated every moment of our stay, and highly recommend the Palm Bungalow.

  Palm Bungalow was a great choice for us. Our hosts were friendly and helpful and their ohana was clean and beautiful. We were a short walk from the ocean and a short ride to downtown. The grounds of the home were beautiful. The salt water swimming pool was perfect. You even have your choice of an indoor or outdoor shower. Sitting on our own front veranda for morning coffee and evening sunsets was great. We recommend highly recommend Palm Bungalow.

  Off the beaten path - live as a local. Extremely well cared for property with every amenity provided. Hosts are on site with offer to help in any way, or to just leave you alone. Located in the city of Kailua with a 10-15 min walk to Alii Drive and shore access. Short drives to numerous restaurants, shopping, entertainment and tourist attractions. This is a great place to just relax, and also conveniently located as a home base to enjoy all the big island has to offer.

  Amazing find! From the moment I arrived on the property, I felt right at home! Bungalow was beautifully decorated, great hot showers indoor and out, comfortable bed, small but functional kitchen, clean, grounds and location were awesome, NO traffic noise or loud neighbors. Steven, Laura Lynn and Evan made me feel like one of the family, hot tub and pool were a refreshing break, and if you get a chance, eat Laura Lynn's French toast! Will absolutely recommend it, and look forward to my next stay! Mahalo loa nui!
